Sierra Designs Transporter Glove Review

Sierra Designs Transporter Glove

Sierra Designs Transporter Glove

First Impressions

Okay, I admit it – I’m a sucker for the look and feel of tanned leather. And Sierra Designs put that leather to good use on the Transporter Glove. It delivers exceptional good looks and outstanding durability in a very streamlined package.

Features

The use of tanned goat leather defines the Transporter Glove. Sierra Designs employs it on both the palm and back of the glove. On the rear, it’s a golden tan hue with a black padded insert on the fingers that provides both extra protection and flexibility. Also on the rear, Sierra Designs places extra stretch and padding across the knuckles. Nice touch.

The palm is all black with extra leather inserts where it’s needed – across the center of the hand, on the thumb and forefinger – adding even more ruggedness to the glove.

The interior of the glove is lined with polyester fleece for warmth and little bulk. And the cuff closes with hook and loop to keep the weather out.

Specs
Exterior: Tanned goat leather and softshell
Insulation: Polyester fleece
Weight: 6.375 oz

Fit

Great. The men’s medium – my normal size – fit perfectly. No need to size up or down.

Final Verdict

Great looking. Rugged. Perfect fit. Plenty of tanned leather. And lined with fleece for warmth. What’s not to like about the Sierra Designs Transporter Glove? This may be my new go-to Spring skiing glove for many seasons to come.
