First Impressions

Out of the bag, I just wasn’t sure. The Dash Dress didn’t have the initial appeal that grabbed me in photos I had viewed. It looked just a little bit shapeless and that’s not a style feature that works for me. Oh well, gotta try it on. Fabric feels great and the earthy green is light and cool looking. I slip it over my head and the shape I saw in the photos is there. . . it nips in gently at the waist, giving shape, but not constricting. The seaming down both the front and back, plus the elastic at the back, gives the dress a really nice line, once on the body. The lightweight fabric feels great—perfect for a hot summer day.

Features

The Dash Dress is a very simple tank style with three snaps at the top. It has a small decorative pocket just below the shoulder that adds interest to the front. There is also a pocket in a pocket on the hip. I love the size of the larger pocket. It’s perfect for a smaller size phone. Inside the larger pocket is a smaller zippered pocket—key, ID, credit card call all be zipped and secure.

Specs:
Material: 86% Polyester, 14% Spandex
Weight: 3.6 oz

The fabric is a super lightweight polyester/spandex that is great for travel. I rolled the dress into my suitcase for a summer getaway and it unrolled wrinkle free and ready to wear.

Fit

The fit of the Dash dress is flattering and easy. When you first look at the dress, it does look deceptively shapeless, but, once on, it curves nicely to the body with the noted seaming and back elastic. The lightweight fabric drapes easily without any cling. The Dash dress appears to run a bit on the larger side. Mine is a small (my normal dress size is 6), but it’s roomy enough to use as a cover up, slipping easily over a swimsuit.

Final Verdict

A great travel dress! The Dash dress comes out of the suitcase ready for action and versatile enough for several uses. It needs to be tried on to be appreciated.
