Feature Image-Biking Shorts

Ready for an early spring? With daytime temps headed toward the 70s, it’s time to get out on the trail. Before you do, however, you might want to consider a little upgrade to last season’s gear. We tested a crop of new mountain biking shorts over the past month or so and found three great options to check out. Here are our picks:

Pearl Izumi Rev Short – Lightweight and stripped down, these shorts provide a trim fit and decent cargo-carrying capacity without bulk. See review.

Sombrio HighlineSombrio Highline II Short – From a crew of Vancouver-based freeriders, these shorts add extra ventilation and heavier-weight fabrics for increased durability. See review.

ZOIC Black Market Short – Best-of-the-bunch styling and performance set these new shorts from ZOIC apart from the crowd. They have all the right pockets too. See review.

All three of the above shorts include removable liners with built-in synthetic chamois. Check them out. And let us know what you think by leaving a comment in the appropriate spot.

Thanks for reading another outdoor gear review from GearGuide. And thanks to Pearl Izumi, Sombrio Cartel, ZOIC, along with OutsidePR, Catch & Release Media and Merrill Marketing/Communications for providing product for this review.
