Seems like everybody has a portable Bluetooth speaker these days. You can get them in the shape of little people, cones, rocks, tubes and much more. They’re the modern equivalent of the old-school boom box. And if you want to take your tunes with you, this is the way. We decided to give a couple of the more rugged versions a try recently and here’s the rundown:
ECOXGEAR ECOXBT – This dual speaker offering comes from San Diego-based Grace Digital. Their product provides a fairly robust option with big rubberized handles and bumpers. It’s completely waterproof and floats. $129 MSRP. Read full review.
RuggedTec RoqBloq – Owned by a company called Teton Brands out of Idaho, the RuggedTec RoqBloq is a compact, single speaker design. It’s water- and dust-resistant and comes wrapped in a rubberized outer. $69 MSRP. Read full review.
Depending on what you’re looking for, one of these ruggedized portable Bluetooth speakers should work for you. Try one out and let us know what you think.
