How To Enter
Each GearGuide sweepstakes entry period is defined on their respective sweepstakes pages. You can enter the individual sweepstakes by adding a comment to the applicable sweepstakes posting on www.gearguide.info. That comment must include at minimum your name and email address.
Conditions Of Entry
Eligible entrants must enter on www.gearguide.info as described above. Incomplete entries are void. By entering, entrants acknowledge compliance with the Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements. Online entrants must be the registered owner of the email account with which the entry is made.
All entries become the property of GearGuide. Neither GearGuide nor co-sponsoring companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, divisions, advertising and promotion agencies, nor any web hosts, telephone networks or service providers are responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human error, technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures of any telephone network, computer equipment, software, inability to access any Web site or online service, or any other error or malfunction, or late, lost, incomplete or misdirected entries. Entries that have been tampered with or altered are void.
Prize
As defined on the respective contest page of www.gearguide.info.
Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Solicitation and entries of this sweepstakes will occur through www.gearguide.info and other web sites including but not limited to www.facebook.com and www.twitter.com.
Any taxes on prizes won will be the sole responsibility of the winner. No substitution or transfer of prizes permitted.
Drawing
The prize winner will be determined in a random drawing from all eligible entries received during the entry period. Winners will be notified by email and posted on www.gearguide.info.
The winner must confirm receipt of notification within 10 days. Communication of confirmation of receipt can occur by email or via GearGuide’s Contact Us form. Failure to do so will result in the sweepstakes entry being disqualified and an alternate winner chosen.
If the winner notification is returned as undeliverable the entry will be disqualified and an alternative winner selected.
Winner
By entry into this sweepstakes, the winner gives GearGuide permission to use winner’s name for promotional purposes. These uses include, but are not limited to web content, email marketing materials, brochures, publications, advertisements, and any promotional or educational materials in any medium now known or later developed.
Winner acknowledges that he/she will not receive any compensation for the use of their name, and hereby releases GearGuide and its agents, and co-sponsoring companies and their agents, from any and all claims which arise out of or are in any way connected with such use.
Limit one prize per person per calendar year.
If there is any suspected or evidence of tampering with any portion of the sweepstakes, or if technical difficulties compromise the integrity of the sweepstakes, GearGuide reserves the right to end the sweepstakes immediately and conduct the drawing using the online entries received as of the end date. Should the sweepstakes be ended before the end of the entry period, notice will be posted at www.gearguide.info. Any attempt to deliberately damage the content or operation of the sweepstakes is unlawful and subject to legal action by GearGuide, co-sponsoring companies and their agents.
Eligibility
United States law governs the sweepstakes. The sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the United States that are:
• 18 years of age or older at time of entry,
• Submitted an entry in accordance with the How To Enter section above.
Not eligible to enter are employees of GearGuide and their immediate families, including household members, and employees and immediate families of co-sponsoring companies, and their parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, divisions, advertising and promotion agencies. The sweepstakes is subject to all federal, state, and local laws of the United States.
Void where prohibited.
The winner agrees that GearGuide and co-sponsoring companies, their affiliates and agencies, and employees shall not be liable for injury, loss or damage of any kind resulting from participating in this promotion or from the acceptance or use of any prize awarded. GearGuide reserves the right to verify eligibility qualifications of any winner.
