First Impressions

Firmly in the rear view mirror, the holidays netted us cool new items for the gear closet. A bunch of running togs, some hiking boots, much appreciated bar ware for those cold winter nights, you get the idea. And as always, a few items stood out from the others. The Brooks Dash Hoodie was one such present that quickly became a favorite around GearGuide HQ. Read on to find out why.

Features

Oh so soft. Just the right amount of heft and stretchy stretchiness. Perfect color combo in a heather gray and pink. What’s not to love about the Brooks Dash Hoodie. From the moment we put it on, we became fans.

Specs
Cowl neck and hood
Loose (semi-fitted) fit
Envelope pocket
88% polyester/12% spandex

The Brooks Dash Hoodie provides just enough features to perfectly suite the task. Brooks designed it with a cowl neck so with either the hood up or down, you get added warmth and protection. Thumb loops keep your hands toasty. And the small sleeve pocket can hold a key or ID. Seams are stitched flat for extra comfort.

Fit

Did we mention the stretchy stretchiness? And the oh-so-soft fabric? Yes, we did. Those two elements complement the loose fit of the Brooks Dash Hoodie. The company describes it as semi-fitted. I guess that makes sense. The women’s medium felt perfect and true to size.

Final Verdict

Love at first wearing. That’s where we found ourselves after putting on the Brooks Dash Hoodie for the first time. Soft. Warm. Perfect for a cool morning or evening run. Or lounging around HQ on a lazy afternoon. Find yours at REI.
